I’m a transplant Texas girl born in Louisiana. I love to blog about faith, family, food, and books.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ and I love diving into God’s word daily. I have been a pastor’s wife… for 37 years now. It is a joy to serve alongside my husband. I am the Priscilla to his Aquila.

I am a retired chef… culinary school trained, who loves to cook for family and friends. I sometimes share food stuff.

I am an avid reader who likes writing reviews. I tend to read nonfiction more than fiction but nothing beats a grand adventure, romping through history with a good heroine or hero, or a twisty mystery to solve. I recommend my favorites in hopes that you will love them, too.

I am also an autoimmune warrior… Hashimoto’s and Sjorgren’s are my constant companions. I am finding new ways to live my life with a slower pace. Simplicity is a big necessity for me these days. I believe God is sustaining me in this “light momentary affliction” (check out my Substack by the same name).

As for my family… I have been the wife of Dan for almost 37 years and the mom of four adult children. I am also the grandmother of two charming little boys and a two beautiful little girls. In the photo I am the one who is a little taller than the grandkids. LOL We have added three more grands since this photo. That makes a total of 6 now! Grandma is my favorite job!
