Well, howdy folks! It’s been a longer break than I intended to take here. I am writing from a life with autoimmunity and there have been some health issues I have had to address in the past few months. You all know that when you don’t feel well you have to let things go so you can take time to rest and deal with the fires in your life. Once we put out the fires we can think and plan about what comes next.
I am feeling better and the first thing I want to share with you now that I am able to focus on writing is this beautiful book. This book was originally scheduled to release on May 2, 2023 but it has been released early. I want you to know about this book and it’s author.
The book is entitled Dwell: 90 Days at Home with God. The author is Sandra Byrd. She writes fiction for adults and children as well as devotionals. She is also a writing coach and she lives in Northwestern area of the US. She is an avid gardener and loves God, home and family.
This latest devotional contains 90 beautifully written vignettes of home, garden and family along with scripture to encourage and comfort the reader. It is a very personal devotional. Each day’s reading helps bring God into center focus and into your daily routines. Over the 90 days of reading, Sandra comes alongside as a friend and opens her home through her writing to relate to those of us who also love the comforts and joys of home life. She shares the Lord in very personal ways from her own experiences in hopes of helping you to spend time with God, too.
If you love gardening and making a home for those in your family and for yourself you will enjoy this devotional very much. It really doesn’t matter where you are in your life because the scripture and experiences will be relatable for you in something she writes along the way.
The devotionals are one page long with a vignette from Sandra’s life followed by a scripture verse or passage to help you meditate on God’s word. I found it to be a great addition to my daily Bible reading and quiet time in the mornings. The book is paperback with a lovely cover. It is not too big to throw into a bag or purse to take along with you, keep on hand by your bed, keep it in your favorite quiet time spot, or display it on a table in your home.
The book is published through Our Daily Bread and you can find a copy on sale right now through their website. Grab a copy for yourself. While you are at it, it would be a lovely gift for a mom, daughter, grandmother or dear friend in your life for Mother’s Day, also.

I was thrilled to be part of this blog tour team. This book was so encouraging to me. I originally read it through Netgalley for free and was asked only to give my honest opinion on it.
